Vivian Broach, Pharm.D., serves as vice president of global medical communications at PPD. She is responsible for operational effectiveness, strategic planning, innovation and the overall growth of medical information contact center services. Dr. Broach’s focus on continuous improvement, value creation and customer centricity ensures that the unit’s contractual obligations and business objectives are achieved. She is the liaison between corporate functional areas and executive management for medical information and safety contact center services.
Dr. Broach joined PPD in 1992 as a medical information pharmacist and has risen through the ranks to her current leadership role. During her tenure, she has been involved in the development and expansion of medical affairs and commercial services and the globalization of the medical information function. Her operational areas of oversight have included medical information, safety contact center, post-approval pharmacovigilance and medical writing. In support of these service areas, Dr. Broach has been responsible for the functional areas of quality, training and information technology.
Dr. Broach holds a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science in biology from Averett University.
